FC Chikhura Training Base in SachkhereSachkhere, GE2026

We are pleased to present the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the FC Chikhura training base in Sachkhere. Founded in 1938 and named after the river that runs through the town, the club won the Georgian Super Cup in 2013 and the Georgian Cup in 2017. The base serves the club's academy: set in a calm, ecologically clean environment, it is used mainly by children and teenagers under 17.

The project focuses on creating safe, comfortable and complete training and educational facilities for Sachkhere's next generation. The old administrative building is replaced by a new, contemporary one that ergonomically houses the administration, security, a sports hall and equipment storage, while the main building undergoes a full rehabilitation.

A modern drainage system and a new artificial turf are laid on the main pitch. Spectators get a covered 560-seat stand with its own restrooms. For people with disabilities, an open-type lift and three adapted places are provided on the stand, and a new, organised parking area on site relieves the street.

Circulation is clearly separated: referees and players reach the pitch through the middle of the stand without crossing spectator routes; children heading to the small pitch use an independent path around the stand; and administration/VIP and public entrances are kept apart. The facades combine charred timber panels (Shou Sugi Ban), fair-faced concrete and standing-seam metal roofing.

Four floodlight masts meeting UEFA Category 1 requirements allow the base to operate until 22:00–23:00. This matters especially for the many young players who travel in from surrounding villages, and gives the club the chance to add new age groups and secure the long-term, sustainable development of the base.
