Baghdati Park Ecological Intervention — Baghdati, GE · ISYNC

The landscape generated by human civilization has become an inseparable part of the natural environment. The form of settlements, the structure of infrastructure, and the traces of economic activity are as much geological factors as they are cultural ones. This layer of the landscape is at the same time both a historical record and a living organism, continuously being transformed and re-evaluated.

The concept treats the site as a cultural space, where the land does not simply serve as a surface for construction, but as a medium that carries social, historical, and symbolic codes of identity.

“Cities must be our living function, moving — Alive Palette.” — V. Mayakovsky

This idea of interconnectedness suggests that architecture should not be a “competitor” or “corrector” of the landscape, but rather its continuation — a complementary, not a contrasting element. An alternative typological approach makes it possible to think of the architectural form as an integrated system, which, instead of disrupting existing processes, adapts to and enhances them.

This framework guides us beyond formal aesthetics toward a deeper understanding of how the built environment operates as a living extension of territory — shaped by the forces of geography, memory, and collective use. Architecture, in this sense, becomes not an imposition on the land, but a dialogue with it, rooted in the specific cultural and ecological conditions of each place.
