Prosecutor's Office in ZestaponiZestaponi, GE2026

We are pleased to present the new administrative building of the Zestaponi District Prosecutor's Office, set on an 800 m² plot between Rustaveli Street and the Kvirila River. The concept is built on the ideas of justice, transparency and the stability of a state institution: the building provides a strictly secure workplace while remaining open and accessible to citizens.

Given the nature of a prosecutor's office, the design is founded on the strict separation of flows. The building has three independent entrances: a main public entrance from Rustaveli Street, a confidential entrance to the isolated juvenile unit, and a staff entrance from the courtyard for employees and secure transport. The whole building is fully accessible to people with disabilities.

Ground Floor: the entrance hall acts as the first filter. Beyond a glass partition with access control lies the secure working zone with the main staircase, archive, staff dining room and access to the rear garden facing the river. The juvenile investigation unit forms a completely isolated wing. First Floor: offices for prosecutors and interns, meeting rooms and, at the quiet end of the corridor, the offices of the district prosecutor and deputy.

The architecture relies on a strict orthogonal geometry and a rhythmic vertical grid. Windows sit in deep niches with angled reveals that give the facade depth and shade the interiors from overheating. Light architectural concrete contrasts with dark metal louvres and aluminium glazing: the transparent lobby expresses public openness, while the dark volume beneath the cantilevered upper floor stands for security.

Along the street, a pedestrian forecourt with planted islands welcomes visitors, while the courtyard holds open parking for 5 cars in addition to a covered two-car garage. The new building will offer a stress-free environment for minors, a comfortable space for visitors and a safe, efficient workplace for staff.
